At MUTKD, we also take pride in our competitive edge as we actively look for opportunities for our members to compete and showcase the results of their training. This includes prestigious events such as VIUC and UniSport Nationals, which pit universities across Victoria and all of Australia against each other. Since Taekwondo uses a belt system, high-level competitions are very accessible to individuals of varying skill levels (yellow belt and upwards); if you are a natural competitor or are eager to represent your university, Taekwondo sounds like the perfect sport for you!

Aside from Taekwondo, members are also encouraged to attend any and all club events that are hosted throughout the year such as dinners, game nights, sport gatherings and more. The club also organises an annual camp trip which feature a lot of bonding activities, partying and, you guessed it, more training!!!

Demonstrations would typically feature pad kicking, psuedo sparring, board breaking, and poomsae. For those interested, make sure to keep your eyes pealed on our social media pages for any upcoming opportunities to join the demo team!
